What kind of maintenance do I need to do on my Stoeger?
This will vary depending on the amount of rounds fired, type of powder in the shells, and the type of hunting for which the gun is used. Generally the bore and exterior surfaces should be cleaned and oiled after every outing. The bolt rails and bolt carrier assembly should also be oiled at the end of the day. The bolt and trigger mechanism should be cleaned of powder fouling and debris as needed. This also will vary depending on the kind of ammo used. At the end of the season or anytime the gun is submerged in water, the gun, including the recoil assembly, should be detail-stripped, cleaned, and oiled.
