What kind of legal cases do Expert Witnesses work in?
In theory they can be requested in any kind of legal case, whether criminal justice, civil, family court or in mental health or educational tribunals. In our experience most of our requests come from civil procedures, such as family cases, both public (e.g. children who are in Local Authority care) and private (e.g. access issues) and personal injury cases, although the variety is ever growing.
