What kind of lecturer is Professor Morley?
By all accounts, he’s one of the best Calculus II professors. Of course, that’s taking into account that I’ve heard some absolute horror stories about many of the other Calc II profs. That said, Morley’s lectures can often be a bit confusing, especially at the beginning of the lecture, as he usually just launches into showing by example rather than explaining what you are doing. If you prefer that kind of method, great, but if not, you’ll have to work harder. Sit up in the first five rows of class, he can sometimes be a bit hard to hear. One of the biggest sources of complaints from many students is that he uses Mathematica (projected onto a screen) to solve parts of his examples. I don’t mind this, as he usually only uses it on the simpler parts that just take time to work out, but it can be annoying if you don’t have a solid grasp of what he’s doing.
