What kind of lay prices will be encountered?
A. The vast majority (98.4%) have historically been below 8/1 at starting price, leaving only 1.6% of all Lay selections at 8/1 or bigger. Interestingly only 5 of these longer priced lays have been unsuccessful in over a decade. The average price of the lays is somewhere between 100/30 and 7/2. It’s also worth noting that, in general, the majority of the lays drift in the betting, which makes it a fairly simple task to lay at shorter prices and improve profitabilty.
