What kind of Internet connection does iLinc work with?
Your computer must have a reliable Internet connection of at a speed of at least 56Kbps, the standard for current dial-up Internet service using standard telephone lines. While dial-up based Internet Service Providers do work, Faster connections such as cable modem service, DSL, or the quality of Internet service available on most companies’ or schools’ local area networks provide for a better experience for taking a iLinc course and are recommended, where possible. Any wired network connection on the UNH campus will be more than sufficient. • Do I have to be in one specific location on campus to teach with iLinc? No, one of the benefits of live distance learning is that both the instructor and the students can be most anywhere that a computer with sufficient Internet acces is avaiable.
