What kind of insurance does an F-1 visa student need to study at the IEP?
The government requires that all F-1 visa students have health insurance during their stay in the U.S. This health insurance must cover medical evacuation and repatriation. Students are welcome to use their insurance from their home country, or to find the proper insurance once they enter the U.S. They are, however, required to show proof of proper health insurance before classes begin. KSU and the IEP can also assist students in obtaining insurance through Pearce and Pearce Insurance. F-1 visa students interested in Pearce and Pearce Insurance may view the benefits brochure on the Pearce and Pearce Insurance website, or direct inquiries to the IEP email.
