What kind of input did neighborhoods have about Downtown Links?

0

Input from neighborhood representatives and other stakeholders is essential to this project. Tucson’s Mayor and Council appointed a 15-member Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) that includes representatives from surrounding neighborhoods. The CAC provides a community perspective on the Downtown Links project to the Tucson Department of Transportation. The City hired consultant Corky Poster of Poster Frost Associates to work with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive land use, urban planning and zoning document. Mr. Poster facilitated more than 15 feedback sessions for five project geographic areas: Iron Horse, 4th Avenue, 6th Ave to Stone Ave, Stone Ave to Oracle Rd, and Oracle Rd to I-10. Representatives from each of the five geographic areas included participants from neighborhood associations, merchants’ associations, businesses, property owners, transportation entities, Tucson Unified School District, non profits, artists, and advisory committees.
