What kind of information does the IRB look for on protocols?
The IRBs main concern is the protection of human participants. Therefore, we are concerned about recruitment methods, study procedures as it relates to the participants, confidentiality, the consent procedure, and the benefits of the study to the participants and to generalizable knowledge (risk-benefit ratio).
