What kind of identification is acceptable?
Only official identifications with your picture will be acceptable, for example, a valid passport. Your passport must contain a recent recognizable photograph and signature. OR alternatively, two other pieces of photo ID issued by a government agency within Canada (e.g. drivers license, National Identity Card, CSIC membership card, etc.). Please note: Student cards are NOT acceptable. Identification requirements are very strict. Be sure to bring to the oral and the written tests your Proof of Registration and the same identification that you have listed on it or you will not be able to write the Assessment. You will be required to register again and pay another registration fee.

There are only three types of acceptable identification. These are: a) Valid passport b) National identity card from your home country c) Official Home Office identification letter/card bearing a photograph and SAL/IND reference number (normally the identification provided to refugees/asylum seekers) These are the only forms of identification acceptable. You will not be able to register without one of them. No copies of the above will be accepted. On the test day you will not be able to take the test unless you show one of the forms of identification listed above at registration. This must be the same document as written on your application form. Failure to provide suitable identification also means you lose the entire test fee.
