What kind of high school classes are required to become a psychologist?
For the most part, there are no courses required as far as I know. What’s more important, is that you get good grades, and a good score on the ACT or SAT exam. Chances are, if you do well in school, and you learn the material rather than cheat to get the grades, you will do fine on the ACT/SAT. This will allow you to get better scholarships, look good on paper, and get into better schools, without taking out as many loans. It’s a good idea to take some dual credit courses while in high school. Those count as college credit, if you school has college courses available for you to take. It would be a good idea to take any college level psychology, sociology, and communications courses. The more higher level courses you take in high school, the more you get to pass over in college.
