The SAP EM architecture is a standard 3-tier client/server architecture and therefore highly scalable. The following is an example of hardware requirements for SAP EM based on a tracking scenario: assuming that archiving takes place every month, the hardware requirements for a volume of 100 000 event handlers and 400 000 event messages per day are as minimal as 2 CPUs, less than 1 GB RAM, and 70 GB disk.
