What kind of guns are allowed for hunting in South Africa?
The gun laws in South Africa are stated as such: No one may use a fire arm which after it has been discharged, automatically reloads and fires when the trigger is pulled or held in a discharged position. A fire arm which discharged a rim-fire cartridge of a caliber of 5.6 millimeters or smaller. So you may use a rifle, muzzle loader, or a hand gun of a caliber larger than 5.6 mm for rim fire.
