What Kind of Government Does the United States of America Have?
When I first came to Clemson University two semesters ago I was surprised. I could actually talk about politics and not receive an immediate negative response! At my first college, College of Charleston, I could barely utter a word politically before I was radically shut down. Then, at my second college, Liberty University, everyone chose his or her political views based on their religion and would not really give ear to another voice, opinion or view. At Clemson University, my experience has hit me like a breath of fresh air. I can talk about my passions and concerns relating to our government and people care to listen. As time progressed though, I began to discover a trend among the fellow students that I would talk to and it concerned me. Everyone was very apathetic concerning the government or politics.
