What kind of gifts should participants bring to the Host family and village members?
Depending in the specific cultural practices of the destination country, and the specific region, tribe or ethnic group of the Host families, a small gift from the participants will be offered to the village chief or Host family. Typically, a gift representing the culture of the United States, or the family of the American students will be most appropriate. Also, gifts that are educational or are useful in daily life of the local villagers will be most appreciated. Back to top Will students have their own room and own bed?
