What kind of get along with discus?
The Jack Dempsey would kill the Discus. What size is your tank now? It’s difficult to recommend more without knowing this. Generally with Discus you need to stick with docile fish (NOT JD cichlids!). Plecos and suckermouth fish are NOT recommended as there is a possibility of it latching onto the side of the Discus and grazing it’s slime coat, this is very bad for the Discus and could kill it. So what size is your tank? The Silver Dollar is a shoaling fish and needs at least 5 more of it’s own kind. For both the Silver Dollars and the Discus you’d need at least 65-70 US Gallons really. Discus are super sensitive to water quality (another reason not to keep plecos with them) how are you maintaining the tank? Most Discus keepers do bi-weekly 30-50% water changes and keep the tank at around 80-86F, not many fish like it that warm, fish like Cardinal Tetras and Rummynose Tetras can tolerate it.
