What kind of GC does Maxine use?
Currently Maxine currently employs a semispace collector as the default. As with many other parts of the Maxine architecture, garbage collection is abstracted as a separate scheme with limited interactions with other schemes. Maxine also has an implementation of the Beltway GC framework, including several generational collectors, but this framework has not yet been fully integrated.
