I have a 2003 Frontier 2WD 2.4L (the same body style as the ’01) with a manual transmission. I generally get 24-25 MPG overall. If you are looking to buy a truck I would highly reccommend the Frontier, I have had a Chevy S10 and a Ranger and the Nissan wins for me. Mine has 53000 miles with no problems whatsoever. We run Frontiers as fleet vehicles and we have a 2001 with 208,000 miles and nothing has gone wrong. Good luck.
