What kind of fruits a diabetic can have?
• Oranges. • Lime. • Raisins. • Very sweet fruits such as banana, mango, Sapota can be taken in small portions. • Grape fruit. • Apple. • Olive. • Rose Apple. A diabetic is advised to have around 2 fruits in day. The carbohydrate intake must be restricted. Fruits that need to be avoided by diabetic • Custard apple. • Mango. • Sapodilla. • Bananas. • Grapes. Diabetics, of course, must have plenty of fruits as well as vegetables as part of their regular diet. They are advised to avoid certain fruits as well vegetables which are high in carbohydrates. Note: Do consult your dietitian/doctor before taking any of these vegetables or fruits as the complexity of your disease might not allow you to take above fruits and vegetables.
