What kind of financial difficulty?
Financial difficulty refers to students who are in serious financial trouble and have exhausted all other financial options. It is NOT to cover tuition fees or to cover the cost of lifestyle choices (going out, buying DVDs, CDs etc). Basically, the University must be satisfied that you have no other way of getting income (e.g. from work or overdrafts) and that you cannot continue your time at University without the money. Who is Eligible? Obviously, only registered students at the University are eligible, but there are other criteria as well. Your fees must be classified as a ‘UK’ student. Students who are refugees or whose spouse or parents are refugees are also eligible to apply.
