What kind of financial and transportation support will be available to the Fellow?
• Stipend (2,300) • Subsistence payment of 20 per day up to a maximum of 1,800. • Up to 600 to cover one standard class round-trip flight from England to San Francisco as well as transportation from and to the airport. • Room and board at the UC Berkeley International House on campus (one single room and fifteen meals per week) or alternative accommodation of equal or lesser amount. • Health insurance coverage for United States, if needed, up to a maximum of 300. • UC Berkeley shuttle bus service from main campus/I-House to the Space Sciences Laboratory. • Trips to science conferences, other research laboratories, or NASA centers relevant to the artist’s research (including flight, accommodations and local transportation). Examples of previous fellows’ visits include: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA Ames Research Center, American Geophysical Union fall 2005 conference.
