What kind of expertise does the management team bring to HMA?
The management team at HMA has worked together for several years, with each executive having approximately 20 years of health care experience. On June 1, 2007 Burke W. Whitman was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of HMA. Mr. Whitman had previously been president and chief operating officer since joining the company in January 2006. Mr. Whitman was formally meet Chief Financial Officer for Triad Hospitals, Inc., and is a Colonel in the United States Marine Corps. On July 1, 2007, Kelly E. Curry rejoined HMA as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Curry served for the prior nine months as a consultant to HMA on hospital operations, reporting directly to Mr. Burke Whitman CEO.
