What kind of exhibits are at a planetarium?
There are a lot of exhibits at planetariums. Most consist of fun things to see and do. Children and adults like to visit because most are hands on experiences. Many planetariums have science projects that really work and underwater adventures. Planetariums even have spider, iguana and lizard terrariums setup for those that like these type of "pets". They will also have areas for children to explore space hands on. Children will love the adventure of floating in the air. Some places even have cars that are set up to race. Lights shows and telescopes make for interesting fun. Some exhibits even show movies and have weather stations so you can see how weather works.Some of the favorites my kids enjoyed was the moon and the solar system. What child or adult don’t like that sort of fun. Some exhibits allow you to weigh yourself to see how much you would weigh if you lived on mars. That is very interesting and fun as well. That exhibit is loads of fun. I have to say planetariums are a great way to spend good family time together. It will be a great way to educate yourself and your children. I say go for it, you will not be disappointed.

Some of the more famous ones include the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California, the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, Illinois and the Hayden Planetarium in New York City, New York. There are also tent-style planetariums that are portable and can be brought to a school or park to provide a fun, fact-filled lesson.
Of course, the exhibits and shows will vary depending upon the planetarium. It is said that there is one planetarium in the United States for every 100,000 people. This should make it easy to find one near you.
