What kind of equipment is used when recording?
CrossWorks uses an AT4040 “Audio-Technica” studio condenser microphone. This is run through a DigiTech Vocal 300 vocal effects processor. Other microphones are available. One great contribution made to the accurate sound levels achieved at CrossWorks is the Tascam US-122 which acts as a sound card and pre-mixing console when running certain music producing programs. Sony’s Professional MDR-7506 dynamic stereo headphones are used to discern the sound quality coming through when recording and mastering the finished product.
