Whenever you enter a high energy level you feel good, therefore your entrance must depict higher vibrations as compared to the outside which can be attained with vibrant colors, fresh flowers, potted plants (on either side of the door), rangoli, a nice painting, good lighting etc. Keeping a Ganesha facing the door with an oil lamp burning near it is considered very auspicious.
