What kind of engine does the Flightstar have?
The Flightstar IISC at the Winkler County Airport has a German made, Hirth 2706, fuel injected, two stroke, aircraft engine on it. It has two spark plugs on each cylinder and a dual redundant electrical system that feeds the opposing spark plugs seperately. As of this writing we have logged over two hundred (200) hours on it and it hasn’t made us nervous even once. German engines! Go figure.
