What kind of educational programs and resources are offered at the BioPark?
• During the APS spring break and each summer, a variety of day camps targeted to different age groups are offered. Most camps are a week long, but some are a half-day or full-day long. There are also special twilight tours through the zoo and sleepovers in the aquarium. See Fee Supported Programs for details and registration information. • Activity packets for use during your visit may be downloaded by clicking on Teacher Resources at the Aquarium/Garden website. TEACHERS: • Incredible Insects is the Rio Grande Botanic Garden’s newest classroom outreach program. It is scheduled to begin December 1 on weekdays (programs will be scheduled based on staff availability). The 40-minute presentation is designed for a 3rd grade level and features live arthropods and hands-on biofacts. Any 3rd grade teacher in the Albuquerque area may call to schedule a presentation for their class. Audience size is limited to 30 students.
