What kind of devices does UpTym Networks manage?
Anything with an IP address – this extends beyond network infrastructure devices to include bank ATM machines, medical equipment, such as X-ray and MRI machines, environmental components, and other “smart” devices; these non-traditional devices could only be monitored under the Silver Plan for obvious reasons. Our pricing is equally easy-to-understand – one device equates to one IP address and we don’t charge for multiple interfaces or various types of servers — as do many of our competitors. · Silverback includes the default capability to monitor 72 technologies. Examples of a technology are Cisco switches, Citrix Metaframe, SonicWALL firewall, etc. If a device is not covered by default, it is a matter of building a syslog filter for it.
