Most likely you need a IEEE-1394 (Firewire) cable. You may find one of these at Wal-Mart, you may not. It is hard to know with Wal-Mart. With some Camcorders, you can connect one directly to the other, so you could conceivably transfer the video to the DVD in this way, but you will need to consult the manual. Usually it is assumed that the two Camcorders are the same type. A Mini-DV holds ten times the data that a Mini-DVD does, so there is a significant amount of compression that must take place to move it to DVD. The IEEE-1394 cable can be used to connect the Camcorder to your computer. As a minimum, you will need Windows Movie Maker, which is available free from Microsoft for Windows XP and later. You will also need software to create the DVD. Nero seems to work fine and Sony DVD Architect is fantastic. If you use Nero, you will need the full version rather than the trial version. The trial version is to just get you interested, but if you want full resolution DVDs you will need to
