What kind of computing services are available at Miami?
Miami provides an Ethernet connection for each student in residence halls; wireless service; high-speed Internet access; an email account; network disk space for personal and academic files; use of Miami’s Blackboard course management system; and many other online services. Off-campus students living in the Oxford Time Warner Cable service area can take advantage of low-cost Road Runner service. The Center for Information Management (CIM) in King Library offers a variety of specialized software and multimedia equipment, including video editing and podcasting, as well as Mac and PC computers, scanners, digital video cameras, and more. Many divisions and departments also have computer labs to support discipline-specific computing needs.
