What kind of company is Harbor Construction Management?
Harbor Construction Management is a construction management firm based in Port Jefferson, N.Y., owned by Stony Brook University alumnus Dr. Robert J. Frey, ’87. Frank Toner, chief operating officer and head of construction, is also a Stony Brook University alumnus (M.S., Industrial Management, ’79). Dr. Frey approached the University with a proposal for a hotel that preserves the buffer and conforms to legislative restrictions and University footprint guidelines, and views this project as a way to give back to the area and to Stony Brook University, in particular, enabling it to remain a strong community presence.
