What kind of character accuracy and feature accuracy does Redwing provide?
Character accuracy measures the extent to which Redwing properly recognizes extracted characters. For example, Redwing would not confuse the number “1” with the lowercase letter “l”. Redwing provides character accuracy close to 100 percent. Feature accuracy measures the extent to which Redwing properly interprets formatting information such as white space, inter-character spacing, inter-word spacing, cell boundaries, column alignments, and so forth. Redwing provides a 99.99 percent feature accuracy rating, which means that on average, Redwing will misalign or misformat only 1 in 10,000 characters. PDF files created using Adobe Acrobat® Capture® 3.0 will extract with the character accuracy equal to the OCR process used (i.e., both OCR accuracy and post-processing proofing will determine character accuracy.
