The City Attorneys Office prosecutes violations of the Mercer Island City Code in Mercer Island Municipal Court. Misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors (such as DUI, Assault & Battery, Driving Offenses and Thefts) are prosecuted. Misdemeanors are punishable by up to 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. Gross misdemeanors are punishable by up to 365 days in jail and/or a $5,000 fine.
