What kind of camera, photograph or logo is best to use?
Regardless of the image method you use, we prefer to work with the image that is the closest to when it was created. For traditional photography, that would be the negative, slide or a photograph. These will have varying image qualities; the higher quality images usually mean that we can produce better images with less preparation work. In other words, higher quality images mean that it will cost less to prepare your images for color imprinting. For digital photography, it’s the same idea. We prefer to work with the image that is the closest to when it was created. That would be the original file transferred to your computer. If you would like to modify what you see in the image, simply work on a COPY of the original. You can send us both files which would be your copy and the original file. See the next FAQ for specific digital camera settings. For graphics or logos, it’s the same idea. We prefer the original file in a high resolution format or as vector art if possible.
