What kind of cage is best for a ferret?

I’d have to say Midwest Ferret Nation models are the best. They may be more expensive ($250 for the FN142), but they are wonderful, and their cons aren’t as extensive as every other cage ‘made’ for ferrets. It comes in a single level (142), a two level (142), and it has the the addition (143) that you can add to either model (so, for money’s sake, you could get the 141 now, and add on with the 143 later to give the ferts a little more room. But the 141 is suitable for up to 2 ferrets. The 142 is big enough for 3+, the addition on the 142 is generally used for LARGE fert households–6 ferts and upwards). The website says that the 142 is only for about 3 ferrets, but everyone I’ve talked to said that any more space is wasted when you only have 4 or so fuzzbutts. Just google ‘ferret nation’ and you’ll get a lot of hits 🙂 Hope this helps.
