What kind of businesses to SITI graduates start?
SITI graduates have begun a number income-generating activities based on their individual interests. With assistance from ICEDI staff, the beneficiaries each develop their own small business plan with the knowledge gained form their SITI training. These businesses range from pig rearing, to small general stores to restaurants to tailoring services. One female beneficiary purchased a few oxen with her savings and loans them out for a small fee to people wishing to plow their plots of land. Another beneficiary purchased a satellite dish to show movies and football matches at his restaurant. The possibilities are truly endless.
