What kind of art is urbanSTEW going to bring to the Fringe Festival?
Jessica Mumford: These are all local artists, and many of them are students from ASU. The art is a multitude of different things, however we have one major characteristic that we wanted in all the art that we’re bringing to share, and that is that it’s interactive and participatory. We have a pretty wide range of what the art falling into that category looks like. We have an artist who’s a sculptor who built these birds, that people can write their wishes on and they’ll be posted in various areas. We have other pieces that are much more involved with digital technology, like motion sensors, or pieces that can generate different sounds as to how you move when you’re in the space, in real time. Is this your first year partnering with the Fringe Festival? Yes, but we’ve gone to the Fringe the past few times. We thought it would be cool to bring a way to connect all the different art venues together, with the (connection) being free, interactive art. Do you have plans to break out and do o
