PebblePad uses a SOAP webservice as the main interface to the portfolio through the Flash interface this is available to an authenticated user and could be used to access the users portfolio from another system. We are planning to add support for the Atom Publishing Protocol to provide a simpler standard compliant way to interact with PebblePad.
