If you don’t mind the horrible sound of the built-in software synthesizer of your Operating System – none. For a reasonable quality however, you will need at least one MIDI keyboard for input and a sound module, expander, or software synthesizer for output. If your PC doesn’t have a built-in MIDI interface, you will also need an external one. You are able to comfortably drive your complete MIDI studio through up to 256 MIDI channels.
