What kind dogs are good for people who have allergies or ashtma?
I have severe asthma and allergies. I have a Labradoodle, and I’m fine with her, but everyone is different. Poodles are the best dogs for asthmatics, because not only do they not moult, they have very little dander, which is another problem for people. This is not my opinion, it is a fact, though no guarantee that you won’t react to a poodle. Standard poodles, although big are the best natured, and extremely intelligent, they also get very attached to their owners and are great watchdogs. I know yorkies don’t moult, they have hair, I nearly bought one but I swelled up and was very itchy everywhere it licked me, and discovered that I’m allergic to their saliva. So just because they don’t moult doesn’t mean you can’t be allergic to them. You need to spend at least an hour with the dog you want to buy, then come away and see how you are.
