What jobs working with horses are there?
There are the usual trainer/barn manager/breeder positions. Here are some more I can think of: research veterinarian, nutritionist, physical therapist, chiropractor, farrier, professional judge, college professor of equine science, journalist for an equine magazine, equine architect, various jobs within equestrian organizations (think breed or show associations), tack store owner, show photographer, lots of jobs in the vet’s office (assistant, vet-tech, anesthesiologist), 4-H extension agent Really the possibilities are endless, some more profitable than others and some might not have any real hands-on work with horses…think about what you like to do or what your strengths are and how that could be applied to the equine industry.
