Where are you from? Australia? Mining jobs offer decent pay, and you don’t need qualifications. Western Australia has SH*TLOADS of mines, and lots of jobs on offer. A general labourer at the underground mine I work at starts on about $65,000 I think. Truck drivers are about $80,000. You don’t need previous experience, although it will be difficult, at first, to find a job in the mines, since experience is definitely benificial. Rosters can be 8 days on 6 days off, 2 weeks on 1 week off, and sometimes 3 weeks on 1 week off. Hours are generally 6-6, dayshift for a week, nightshift for a week.
