What jobs did andrew jackson do?
As a young man he did odd jobs , such as saddle making,and actually taught elementary school for a short time. He soon passed the bar and practiced law for many years, serving as a prosecuting attorney and later as a judge. He served in both houses of Congress and later as President. He was territorial governor of Florida and a major general in the regular US army. In between, he managed his plantation, trained and raced horses, and owned and operated a general store. He also engaged in land speculation, buying and selling real estate .
