What jobs are available to 16 year olds in Singapore?
There are many part time jobs around in fast food restaurants, dining restaurants, convenience stores, departmetn stores, etc. In Singapore, if you are willing to work for it, the opportunities are in abundance. Being a teenage, though, you will be restricted by the labor laws against excessive work hours and you would probably not be allowed to work after certain dark hours. Another hurdle you may face is, if you are a caucasian, you will get lots of stares coz it is a little uncommon for caucasian children working in local setups. Then again, there is no law against it. There is always a first time to everything. One more glitch I can anticipate has to do with speech accent. You may find it a little difficult to understand the local English. Vice versa, they may have problems grasping yours. However, with time, I am sure the saling will be smoother. Good luck!
