What jobs are available on a cruise ship?
When the idea of working on a cruise ship is raised, many people either turn up their noses or shrug their shoulders while claiming not to have any abilities that fit into the cruise line jobs that they have in mind. This attitude is understandable given the picture that comes to mind when one speaks of these type of jobs. The mind does not turn to an average job, but to sweeping the deck, maintaining security, and keeping the boiler ticking over, mainly due to what we have seen on television. The truth of the matter is that while there are still many of the stereotypical jobs on the ocean wave, the possibilities go very far beyond the simple, ship-specific positions and can include many that you wouldn’t have given even a second’s thought.
