What job opportunities are there in adolescence education?
Professional opportunities for adolescence education majors have never been greater. The graying of educators combined with an increasing number of children and a decrease in class size has created a shortage of teachers in most of the United States. In particular, most states cannot adequately staff math, science and foreign language classes at the middle and high school level. Adolescence education at Plattsburgh offers nine areas of study: biology, chemistry, geology/earth science, French, mathematics, physics, history/social studies, and Spanish.
