What items make it to the TweakGuides front page?
A lot of people wonder what exactly makes it to the front page of TweakGuides.com – what’s the criteria? Well I spend a lot of time each day browsing the Net to make sure I personally get across new developments and to post news updates as they happen. The things I do post include: • Important patches and updates for all consumer versions of Windows, including major betas for core Windows software. • Driver updates for the most commonly used hardware, including major betas/hotfixes. • Game patches, excluding beta or unofficial patches. • Updates to applications which are extremely popular and/or which I recommend. • Critical security warnings which affect a large number of Windows PC users. • Updates about the site itself and future developments, or items of personal interest. The things I don’t post include: • Anything relevant only to non-Windows software such as Linux or Mac. • Anything relevant only to business users or developers. • Most beta or other pre-release software, with th
