What items are NOT defined as secondhand goods?
• Office furniture. • Pianos. • Books. • Clothing. • Organs. • Coins. • Motor vehicles. • Costume jewelry. • Secondhand sports equipment that is not permanently labeled with a serial number (excluding golf clubs). • Cardio and strength training or conditioning equipment designed primarily for indoor use. • Businesses primarily engaged in the rental, sale, or trade of motion picture videos and video games (if they meet certain recordkeeping conditions). • Items sold through the Internet (if the business meets certain recordkeeping conditions). • Items sold by pawnbrokers. Pawnbrokers must register with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as provided in Chapter 539, Florida Statutes.
