What issues contributed to the Reformation in England?
The timing of the whole Henry VIII divorce issue was, of course, important in shaping the WAY the Reformation took place in England, but it is absurd to think that this issue was “THE cause” of the Reformation. In particular, the importance of Reformation IDEAS and their influence on key people (which actually began two centuries earlier) cannot be overlooked.
