What is Zoloft used for?
• Zoloft is used to treat: depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder. How should you take this medication? • Zoloft is taken by mouth, with or without food, once a day. The oral liquid form of this medicine must be diluted before you take it. Dilute Zoloft oral concentrate, but only in one-half cup of water, ginger ale, lemon/lime soda, lemonade or orange juice. General Precautions with Zoloft • Zoloft may cause bleeding problems, especially if taken with aspirin, NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen and naproxen), or other drugs that affect bleeding. • Zoloft may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Zoloft. • Tell your healthcare professional if you are or may be pregnant.
