What is Zimbra Archiving and Discovery (ZAD)?
An optional service available in the 01.com shared hosting environment on a per mailbox basis, and as an optional license to compaines with dedicated, or their own servers, particularly useful for compliance (SOX, HIPAA…) and other organizational policy fulfillment, Zimbra Archiving and Discovery (ZAD) stores mail for each mailbox on which it is enabled in an archived format that is undeletable by users without Zimbra administrative privileges. The archived mailboxes are then searchable, across all of the mailboxes and their data, including attachments and headers, and the results are available in an Ajax web interface that enables viewing by conversation across an entire organization.
